World cuisine experts, The Cookaway, have teamed up with 2020 Young Chef Young Waiter (YCYW) winner Peter Meechan to launch a brand-new recipe kit – the Scottish Cookaway.
The flavoursome menus are a winner for winter celebrations, and perfect for ambitious cooks and foodies who want to cook a luxurious meal from scratch. The recipes offer the chance to slow down in the kitchen and share the enjoyable process of cooking with friends and family.
Prices start from £85 for two people and boxes are available to order from 1st November with the first delivery date of Tuesday 15th November.
Currently working at renowned hotel Gleneagles, award-winning chef, Peter Meechan has designed menus which showcase the nation’s deliciously authentic dishes alongside the finest regional produce from Britain. He has combined knowledge from his unique expertise as a professional Scottish chef, alongside some of the dishes which won him the 2020 Young Chef Young Waiter award, to create fine-dining menus which are rooted in Scottish cuisine.
Peter’s carefully crafted menus include the finest venison loin or bone-in ribeye infused with a Scottish twist for an authentic taste of Scotland. Featuring a perfect Scotch whisky pairing, traditional sides like Haggis Bon Bons with Whisky Mayo and Cullen Skink – your tastebuds will be transported to the moors of Scotland. Both menus come with complex sauces for enthusiastic cooks to try their hand at; the rich Whisky Peppercorn Sauce is quintessentially Scottish, and takes over an hour to caringly prepare.
The Cookaway encourages people to come on a culinary adventure with bespoke recipe kits tailored to individual tastes, featuring only the finest ingredients and expert chef guidance for cooking a new dish. Featuring free delivery and no subscriptions, customers have the freedom and flexibility to enjoy the satisfaction of real world cooking on their own terms.
