The Nth Degree was founded by Robert Walton MBE: President of the Restaurant Association of Great Britain and partner of UK Hospitality. Robert is also the former Chairman of Young Chef Young Waiter between the years of 2006 and 2012.

Robert is a recognised and respected figure in the hospitality industry and is President of the Restaurant Association of Great Britain. Having trained as a West-End chef himself, he has unique hand-on experience and has spent over 45 years in the Hospitality profession having owned restaurants, pubs and function venues. He is a Patron of many of the industry’s leading charities including Springboard, Hospitality Action and Adopt a School.

Sean has spent over thirty years in the hospitality industry. He studied a degree in hospitality at Leeds University and qualified as a chef, before working for global foodservice business Sodexo, read more primarily in their events and venues division for eight years as a board Director heading up their UK sales and marketing. He has been involved in sales and operations at major sporting events including Formula One, Royal Ascot, Henley Royal Regatta, RHS flower shows and many other iconic annual calendar events. Over the last fifteen years, Sean has been a true serial entrepreneur developing several hospitality businesses including a fine dining restaurant and wedding venue, gastro pub, corporate hospitality at major events, fine dining for corporate clients and a food tech home delivery concept in London. He is a fellow of the Institute of Hospitality, holds the Freedom of City of London and was awarded the Foodservice Management lifetime achievement award in recognition of his commitment to the industry through ACE (Association of Catering Excellence) for the past twelve years.
Simon’s career started at Amberley Castle, a Small Luxury House hotel. After completing his HND in Hospitality Management, he moved to London. While working at The Ritz he won 'Young Waiter of the Year’ 2000'. In 2001 read more Simon joined Gordon Ramsay, managing his flagship restaurant at Royal Hospital Road for 5 years. He worked with Heston Blumenthal as Operations Manager for the Fat Duck Group on projects including the launch of Dinner at the Mandarin Oriental. In October 2014 moved to New York, working for Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group, managing the Modern. March 2018 saw Simon return to London as Operations Director for JKS, overseeing their 14 sites and responsible for future growth. Simon is an Academy of Culinary Arts Fellow and an Acorn Winner. Never one to shy away from a challenge, he is training for his first Ironman to raise money for Adopt a School.
