Competition entry

The competition will find the best young chef and best young waiter across the UK in 2019.

Entry is free for young chefs and young waiters who are 26 years old or under on 29 October 2019. You can take part if you’re currently employed in the role of Chef or Waiter and have been employed for 3 years or more in the hospitality profession. Click here to fill in your online application. Entries close at midnight on 25 September 2019.

Your digital entry will be judged by leading figures from the hospitality industry. Previous judges have included Raymond Blanc OBE, Heston Blumenthal OBE, Angela Hartnett MBE, Simon Girling, Fred Sirieix and many more.

Competition guidelines

40 finalists will be selected from the online applications: 20 chefs and 20 waiters

At the live competition in London, finalists will battle it out to impress our high profile judges. The judges have the tough task of identifying the three top chefs and three top waiters. Winners will be announced at the sensational evening event at Quaglino’s on Tuesday 29 October. All finalists will be invited to this spectacular celebration. A party not to be missed!
