Promoting Hospitality as a career of choice, a profession, and a vocation. World Young Chef Young Waiter and brand new for 2023 Young Mixologists is an international competition open to all young professional Chefs, Waiters & Mixologists 28 years and under from any background.
This renowned competition launched in 1979 and this revamped and revitalised format, is fully endorsed by UKHospitality and the Restaurant Association.
In 2022, this format was expanded worldwide to reach a global audience and in 2023, it was expanded to 9 countries around the world. In 2024, we will be welcoming 15 countries.
We work with leading figures from the hospitality industry to find the best Young Chefs, Young Waiters, and Young Mixologists the world has to offer.
The World Young Mixologist competition, elevated by NEFT Vodka, aims to acknowledge outstanding talent and excellence not only in the kitchen and front-of-house service, but also behind the bar.
The winners from each country joined in Monaco for the world finals on the 23rd – 24th November, where the World Young Chef, Waiter, and Young Mixologist Champions were crowned.

All 22 World Finalists took part in a range of tasks devised by an expert judging panel which was whittled down to 3 winning chef and waiter pairs and 1 winning mixologist
