Young Chef Young Waiter Singapore Finalists Announced

The finalists for the first Young Chef Young Waiter Singapore competition have been announced ahead of the live final on October 30 2022, being held at the At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy. The eight finalists consist of four young chefs and four young waiters who were chosen based on the quality of the submissions by our UK judging panel.

The Young Chef Young Waiter competition was established in the UK in 1979 and counts many current industry heavyweights in the UK culinary scene as past contestants. The Singapore event is open to chefs and waiters based in Singapore who are 26 years old and under. This event promises to be educational, fun and promotes hospitality as a career, profession and a vocation. Our finalists represent the best of Singapore’s young culinary talent.

We are delighted to have some of Singapore’s best industry talent judging the competition. Four well known chefs will assess the young chefs and four industry experts will assess the young waiters.

The winning chef and waiter from the Singapore final will fly to Monaco to take part in the world’s best chef and waiter competition, Young Chef Young Waiter, to be held at the Maybourne Riviera on November 15 and 16. There are 7 countries competing for the title of 2022 World Young Chef Young Waiter.
